The studio.
Tannery Wax Co started as a Banks Peninsula apiary and only began pouring candles when their wax stockpile got out of hand. Beeswax tapers, pillars, and beeswax-soy blends are their core — unscented and lightly scented options exclusively. The honey note in the wax is the point; they refuse to bury it in fragrance.

Other studios in the region
Ōtautahi rebuilt itself around small studios in Sydenham and the Tannery — the candle community here skews quietly experimental, with more wax-blending and beeswax than the North Island.
