If you pour candles in New Zealand, we'd like to stock you.
NZ Candlesis a new online shop that will sell only candles poured in New Zealand, with the maker named on every product. We're opening our first wholesale accounts now. This page says exactly what we'd ask of you, and exactly what we'd never do with your brand.
Four things, in writing
- That online resale is allowed, and the recommended retail price you'd want us to hold.
- Permission to use your product photos, names and descriptions on this site.
- That the candles are poured in New Zealand — this is the one claim the whole shop rests on, and the Commerce Commission requires it to be substantiated.
- Whether you drop-ship, or whether we buy and hold the stock (we're set up to hold it).
Your brand stays yours
- We never relabel, decant or repour. Your candles are sold in your own labelled packaging.
- We never write your scent notes. Your words, credited to you, or nothing.
- We never invent a rating, a review or a "bestseller" badge for your product.
- We never put your candle in a box beside an imported one.
- We never claim you endorse us, or call you a partner, unless you've said we can.
Where we actually are.
We have no signed accounts, no stock and no sales, and we're not going to imply otherwise to get an account opened. We're building the shop first, publishing the guides first, and collecting a waitlist so there's some demand evidence to show you when we talk.
What we can offer at this stage is small, honest orders paid on your own terms, your name on every product page, and a maker page that links to your own shop. What we can't offer yet is volume.
