The candle club

A different New Zealand maker every month.

Tell us the scents you love and the ones you can't stand, and each month we send a candle from a different New Zealand maker, with delivery included in the price. Cancel any time from the link in every email. The club isn't running yet, and no card is charged today.

How it works

Three steps, and one of them is yours.

  1. Choose your scents

Fresh, floral, woody, sweet — as many as you like — plus anything we should never send you.

  2. We pick a candle from a different maker each month

From makers who have confirmed in writing that their candles are poured in New Zealand. You'll get an email saying who made this month's, and where.

  3. It arrives, delivery included

Stripe charges shipping only on one-off orders, not subscriptions, so the club price includes delivery rather than hiding it at checkout.

Cancel, change your card or change your address from the portal link in every email — set up before the first member joins.

Join the club waitlist

No price is set and no card is charged. We'll email you once, when the club opens, and your scent choices help us pick the first makers.

One email when it opens. We don't sell or share your address.
Which scents do you like?
Pick as many as you like. We use these to choose your candle, once the club is running.
0/100 characters. Anything you can't stand — vanilla, patchouli, anything sweet.

Nothing is charged. There is nothing to buy here yet, and we won't pretend otherwise.

For comparison

What other New Zealand candle clubs charge.

Every one of these sends its own candles. We've only put a figure in the table where we opened the page ourselves and read it; where we haven't, the cell says so rather than repeating a number second-hand.

Questions

The club, answered.

What arrives, and how often?

One candle a month, from a different New Zealand maker each time, chosen against the scent families you pick and the things you tell us never to send. Delivery is included in the price rather than added at checkout.

How do I cancel?

From a link in every email we send, which opens Stripe's own customer portal. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you've already paid for, and there's no refund on a box that's already gone out.

Can I skip a month?

Yes — reply to any club email and we'll pause the next billing cycle for you. When enough people ask, we'll put a skip button in the portal rather than leaving it as an email.

How is this different from other New Zealand candle clubs?

Every candle subscription we found in New Zealand sends that maker's own candles. This one sends a different maker each month, which is only possible because we buy wholesale from several of them rather than pouring anything ourselves.

What does it cost?

We haven't set a price, and we won't publish one before wholesale costs, packaging and a real courier rate are known. Other New Zealand clubs publish theirs, and the table on this page shows what they charge on the dates we checked.

Can I give it as a gift?

Not at launch. A three-month prepaid gift is planned, with no recurring billing on the recipient's card, but it isn't built yet.
